Villarreal B 3-4 Barça B: Second position secured

A win away at Villarreal B made it possible for Barça B to secure second position in the division, and the result was practically assured in the first half after the visitors went into the break 0-3 to the good.

Matheus opened the scoring with a penalty (0-1, min 21), and the same player, after a raking pass from Oriol Busquets, finished wonderfully to make it 0-2. Oriol Busquets himself looked to have made the game safe before the break (0-3, min 45).

Nervous

After half-time, the rhythm dropped and a goal from Millán cut the deficit (1-3, min 51). However, Barça B quickly reacted through Rey Manaj, thanks to a sumptuous pass from Konrad, to make the score 1-4 (min 67).

Balde's own goal (2-4, min 81) saw things get nervy for the visitors late on, even more so when Jack made it 3-4 in the 90th minute, but it was just too little, too late for the hosts.
