Barça will play Chelsea in the 2020/21 Women's Champions League final, on May 16 at Gamla Ullevi in Gothenburg. After losing 2-1 in the first leg of their semi-final against Bayern Munich, the west Londoners earned their place in the final with a spectacular 4-1 second-leg victory. The team, coached by Emma Hayes, will therefore contest their first ever final in the premier continental competition.
The 'blues' lead the Women's Super League in England, and have a team full of stars including Sam Kerr, Melanie Leupolz and one of the best players in the world, Pernille Harder, who became the most expensive transfer in the history of women's football when she joined Chelsea.
There's no Chelsea v Barça precedent, as the only previous game between these two teams was a friendly in the 2018/19 pre-season that ended in a 1-1 draw at the Miniestadi.
