Alcoyano 1-2 Barça B: Konrad hands blaugranes important win

A great win for Barça B as they took a 2-1 win away at Alcoyano thanks to a brace from Konrad de la Fuente. The three points allow the blaugranes to remain in second place in the table and in the hunt for a play off place. 

Slow start 

In the early moments of the game Alcoyano had the better of the contest and Iñaki Peña in goal for Barça B was forced into action, making a couple of important saves. However, Barça B slowly got into the game and on the half hour mark Konrad gave the blaugranes the lead with a well taken effort. Rei Manaj could have added a second but could not hit the target. 

In the second half the game became a little stilted with too many fouls and the referee showing a host of yellow cards. On 76 minutes Alcoyano plucked an equaliser out of thin air with Diakité firing in an unstoppable shot from outside the box which left keeper Iñaki Peña with no chance. 

Konrad to the rescue

Just when it appeared the game was heading for a draw, with 10 minutes remaining Konrad scored a wonderful solo goal to grab all three points for Barça B and keep them in second place in the table and still in the hunt for promotion to the Second Division A.
