Goals from Leo Messi, Víctor Ruiz and Trincão, with his first for Barça, ensured Ronald Koeman's side took all three points at Benito Villamarín. The Catalans also equaled a record of six consecutive games in the league, something that hasn't happened record since 2019.
After beating Valladolid (0-3), Huesca (0-1), Athletic (2-3), Granada (0-4) and Elche (0-2), Barça won at Betis and continued their great form. The last time this happened was between February and March 2019. On that occasion, Ernesto Valverde’s Barça also earned six consecutive victories, three at home and three away.
In the 2015/16 season, Luis Enrique's Barça won six league games away.
Ronald Koeman's next challenge will be to widen this record of victories. The record stands at 10 wins, achieved by Pep Guardiola and Tito Vilanova, in the 2010/11 and 2012/13 seasons respectively. In order to match this record, the blaugranes will need to beat Sevilla, Osasuna, Real Sociedad and Real Madrid.
