Training at La Cartuja

La Cartuja Stadium in Seville is the venue for this season’s Spanish Super Cup Final, as it also was today for the final training session for Ronald Koeman and his men before Sunday’s 9.00pm CET kick-off. 

After arriving in the Andalusian city on Saturday morning the players spent the morning resting in their hotel, while Sergio Busquets and Ronald Koeman made their way to the stadium early to attend to the media, both agreeing that Athletic Club, who eliminated Real Madrid on Thursday, are going to be a difficult side to beat and that although this is one of the least important major trophies, it is still a game that everyone is taking very, very seriously indeed. 

At the end of the day’s activity, Koeman was joined by rival coach Marcelino García Toral for a pre-game photo session.
