Messi returns for trip to Huesca

Ronald Koeman has announced his squad of 22 for the first game of 2021, away to Huesca, and the big news is the return of Leo Messi, who was carrying a minor injury.

The full squad is: Ter Stegen, Dest, R. Araujo, Sergio, Aleñá, Griezmann, Pjanic, Braithwaite, Messi, O. Dembélé, Riqui Puig, Neto, Lenglet, Pedri, Trincao, Jordi Alba, Matheus, F. De Jong, Junior, Iñaki Peña, O. Mingueza and Konrad.

Gerard Piqué, Philippe Coutinho, Sergi Roberto and Ansu Fati are all out through injury, while Samuel Umtiti is having gastric difficulties and will sit this game out too.

The team trained for the last time before the trip to Aragon on a chilly morning at the Ciutat Esportiva.
