Ansu Fati's close identification with FC Barcelona has continued with his becoming a member of the club, receiveing a membership card for himself and his family on Thursday. The forward was presented with the honour by Carles Tusquets, president of the Managing Committee, and Ramon Palou of the Control, Ethics and Transparency Committee. As Ansu is currently convalescing following a knee operation, Tusquets and Palou went to the player's home to hand the memberships over to him, parents Bori and Maria de Lurdes, and siblings Djenabu, Djucu and Miguel.
Ansu Fati, who turned 18 on October 31, joined Barça in 2012 at the age of 10. Since then he has grown up at La Masía from Under-11s football to the first team. He has always felt a cloe bong with the club and its values, just like the rest of his family.
