Barça take on Dynamo Kyiv in the Champions League on Tuesday, kick off 9.00pm CET, the next test in their marathon run of matches between now and the end of the year. The Ukrainian side are currently third in group G with just a point from their opening three matches but they certainly caused the blaugranes a few problems in the 2-1 defeat at Camp Nou just under three weeks ago.
Opponents
The Ukrainians have played twice since that defeat in Barcelona on match day three of the Champions League, losing 3-0 against Shakhtar Donetsk and winning 2-0 against FC Inhulets Petrove in the league.
- Coach: Mircea Lucescu
- So far in group G: 1 draw and 2 defeats
- Top scorer in the UCL: Viktor Tsyhankov (2 goals)
The game at Camp Nou
On match day three in group G Barça took a 2-1 victory to retain their 100% record in the 2020/21 Champions League. Goals from Leo Messi and Gerard Piqué were enough to hand Ronald Koeman's team all three points with Viktor Tsyhankov on the scoresheet for the visitors.
Barça
The blaugranes come into the game on the back of a 1-0 defeat in La Liga away at Atlético Madrid on Saturday. Barça will be looking to put that reverse out of their heads and focus on picking up a win which would assure them of a place in the last 16 of this season's Champions League.
For the game coach Ronald Koeman has chosen a 19 man squad with the notable absentees of the recently injured Gerard Piqué and Sergio Roberto as well as those of Leo Messi and Frenkie de Jong who are both 'in need of a rest' according to the Dutch coach in his appearance before the media on Monday.
