Pedri: "My aim is to enjoy myself playing football"
Pedro González, better known as Pedri, was officially presented as an FC Barcelona player last week.. Coinciding with his presentation, BarçaTV+ premiere 'Bienvenido, Pedri', a special programme dedicated to getting to know the youngster from the Canary Islands. A Barça fan from a young age, Pedri has always stated his joy at receiving his big opportunity. In the programme he also took part in a series of games -such as trying to identify players from childhood photos.
However, one of the most special moments was the surprise he received relating to his hero, Andrés Iniesta.

His first days as a Barça player
"I've been welcomed very well and I'm very happy. I'm really happy to have this opportunity."
"Training at the Ciutat Esportiva is a luxury. I hope that I can enjoy the facilities for many years. I've been amazed."

Pedri as a player
"I feel comfortable playing in the hole, although it's true that I've played on the wing -on both sides. It's good to be versatile. That's important for a player, because it means the coach can use you in other positions."
"Playing for Las Palmas was good for me, as playing in the Segunda División -a tough league- has meant I have gained confidence."
"Passing football is my best virtue. My aim is to make the others play, and enjoy playing football."
"I'm not focusing on breaking any record. I want to enjoy my daily work, do what I like and improve."
"My main objective is to debut, first of all. I haven't done that yet, and I'm looking forward to it. I have to improve and work hard to do that. Whatever my debut is, I will always remember it. It will be the most special day of my life, because I've always dreamed of that."
