Seven players start pre-season with medical check-ups

Seven FC Barcelona players started their pre-season with the usual medical check-ups prior to the start of training sessions. Pedri, Trincão, Matheus Fernandes, Wagué, Rafinha, Miranda and Oriol Busquets are the seven players who this Wednesday afternoon undertook an electrocardiogram, a body composition test, an echocardiogram, a podiatry and a nutritional assessment.

Carles Aleñá is a close contact of a confirmed case of Covid-19 and must follow the established health protocols before starting his pre-season.

The PCR tests were carried out on Tuesday afternoon, and this Wednesday morning a positive Covid-19 test for another player came to light. During Wednesday afternoon, Jean-Clair Todibo acknowledged his positive test on social networks.

Thursday, first training

The seven players who underwent medical examinations will participate in their first pre-season training session on Thursday starting at 6.30pm CEST, exactly the same time that the rest of the squad is training in Lisbon in the last session prior to the Champions League match against Bayern.
