From today, Barça fans can get the first Fan Tokens to take part in Club surveys

From Monday 22 June, FC Barcelona supporters will be able to acquire the first ‘Barça Fan Tokens’ ($BAR) to take part in surveys and polls connected to the everyday activities of the Club, as well as earn unique prizes and experiences related to the Club. The first of these polls will give Token holders the chance to decide on the design of the new mural that will decorate the first team locker room which the players will see before they head out onto the pitch. Different proposals created by fans from all around the world will be offered for fans to choose from.
Digital ‘Barça Fan Tokens’ are issued by blockchain company Chiliz, one of FC Barcelona’s partners and can only be purchased via Chiliz.net or its voting site Socios.com. To celebrate the launch of $BAR, from 1.00 pm CEST and for 48 hours, Chiliz will be holding a flash sale of 600,000 Fan Tokens at a set price of 2 euros each. When the first 48 hours have expired, the cost of Fan Tokens will depend on demand and supply.
As well as giving fans the right to vote on different topics during the season, fans can also earn rewards linked to the club, including innovative digital experiences and real-life activations, such as the chance to meet players before a game, or to watch a match live as a VIP guest at the Camp Nou.
Fan-inspired locker room design
FC Barcelona and Chiliz announced their partnership agreement on February 13 of this year, which all forms part of the club’s new digital and commercial strategy, and will help Barça fans to interact more innovatively with the club, giving them the chance to voice their opinions and vote for different matters in club surveys.
The first survey entails asking fans to send in their different designs for a new mural that will appear on the first team locker room wall. From all the designs, four will be chosen and supporters with Fan Tokens will be able to decide which of the four they like best. The most popular entry will be the design that players will see before they go out onto the pitch.
