Javier Aguirre's two games in charge of Leganés against Barça have both ended in defeat. In November of last year the blaugranes went to the El Butarque stadium and won 2-1 in La Liga thanks to goals from Luis Suárez and Arturo Vidal. In 2020 at the end of January the man nicknamed 'El Vasco' brought his team to Camp Nou for a Copa del Rey last 16 clash which ended in a comfortable 5-0 win for Barça in what is up to now Quique Setién's only previous encounter with the Mexican.
