FC Barcelona reopen facilities with safety measures in place

After three months closed to the public, FC Barcelona will take another step towards the 'New Normality' by reopening their facilities and services for fans. The Museum, Barça Store Camp Nou and Customer Service Offices (OAB, OAE and OAP) will be back in operation from June 12th, following safety and protection measures established by the health authorities and the Spanish government for the State of Alarm.

Originally scheduled for 15 days, the closure was extended to three months. The de-escalation process has now allowed the club to reopen them, with restrictions on operating hours and with protection measures.

Clean and safe areas

The club have been working on protocols to make all of their facilities clean and safe for both athletes and employees, as well as for the members and fans who will now be welcomed back. This protocol was presented to the Board of Directors on May 14 by Joan Bladé, head of the coordination of all measures regarding the fallout of the COVID-19 crisis.
 
The facilities will have occupancy limits, enforce social distancing and require the use of masks in all closed spaces. Sanitiser gel will be distributed throughout the buildings and information will be clearly visible for visitors. For those activities or services requiring payment, the use of cards and contactless (obligatory at ticket offices) will be encouraged, and electronic tickets will be given priority.
 
Extra staff have been put in place for controls and for disinfection. The reopening will require constant supervision to ensure that sanitary measures are complied with, and that queues are controlled outside each area.

Access and explanade of the Camp Nou 

The first level of facilities at Les Corts will open their doors on June 12. Their opening hours will be from Monday-Sunday, from 9am-5pm. Entry by foot will be made at Access 9, Access 15 and Access 15A. Vehicles will enter through Access 14. Parking will be available in Zone C of the Auditori 1899 for members, and Zone D -next to the Palau Blaugrana- for other visitors. Food areas will remain closed, but vending machines will be available.

OAB, OAE and OAP

The Oficina de Atención al Barcelonista (OAB), Oficina de Atención Especializada (OAE) andOficina de Atención a los Peñistas (OAP) will open on June 12, as well as an exceptional opening on Saturday, June 13, from 10am-1pm, for attention in person. The main access will be through the main door of the Sede Social, with the exit via the side door (those with reduced movement or child buggies may leave through the main door). 

Inside, there will be a limit to capacity of one person at the available points, plus an additional person waiting at the booth. Queues will be managed through signage on the floor to indicate safe distancing. Use of masks and sanitiser gel will be obligatory. Four points for attention will be opened, with protective screens (initially two will be opened), and the reception for the OAB, OAE and OAP will also have protective screens. Museum

The Museum will open on June 12, with hours from Monday-Sunday, 10am-3pm. Due to restrictions for capacity (33% in Phases 1 and 2 and 50% in Phase 3) and safety measures, the route of the tour will be modified to cover the first and second floors, plus the panoramic view. Touchscreens will not be operational, nor will audioguides or photo/money dispensers, nor the cloakroom. The use of masks and sanitiser gel is obligatory upon entry, and dispensers will be located throughout the tour. Safe distances will be marked on the floor and there will be separating screens in place where this cannot be guaranteed.

Ticket prices have been reduced, and wtickets will now cost 20 euros each for adults. Prices for residents in Catalonia, over-70s and children aged between 4-10 years old will be 10 euros. Children under the age of 4 get free entry. Members will continue to receive free access, and will be able to benefit from a free invitation for a companion, valid from June 12-30. 

Barça Store Camp Nou 

The store will reopen from June 12, from Monday-Sunday, with hours of 10am to 4pm. The Museum will have employees located at each entrance to control entry and inform about prevention measures, and sanitiser gel and masks will be obligatory. The store will open only 2 of its 3 floors, and there will be lines of separation marked on the floor. Payment by card or by contactless will be encouraged, and the terminal will be disinfected after each use. One till will be made available for cash payments on each floor. The changing rooms will be disinfected after each use and all clothing that arrives from the warehouse will undergo quarantine protocol -as will that which has been tried on or returned. The Barça Store Camp Nou will be the third of the six stores to open, after those in Passeig de Gràcia and La Roca Village.

Ice rink

The Ice Rink will remain closed to the public. It is set to reopen in September.

Ticket offices

The ticket offices located on Bulevar will also be open from June 12, from Monday-Sunday, with operating hours from 9:45am to 2:45pm. Payment should be made by card or contactless and queues will be managed by signs on the floor to indicate distances of 2 metres.
