The FC Barcelona squad for the trip to Bilbao

Midweek fixtures continue a pace for Barça with the quarter finals of the Copa del Rey on Thursday in San Mamés against Athletic Club. The blaugranes face a one off tie against the side from Bilbao which sees the two most successful teams in the competition’s history come together.

For the game on Thursday at 9.00pm CET, coach Quique Setién has named the following squad: Ter Stegen, N. Semedo, Piqué, I. Rakitic, Sergio, Arthur, Messi, Lenglet, Griezmann, Jordi Alba, S. Roberto, F. De Jong, Vidal, Umtiti, Junior, Iñaki Peña, Riqui Puig, Collado, Ansu Fati and R. Araujo. Missing due to injury are Luis Suárez, Dembélé and Neto.

Vidal passed fit for trip to Bilbao

The squad trained for the final time before the game against Athletic at the Ciutat Esportiva with all the available first team players present. Arturo Vidal trained with the squad and Gerard Piqué did specific work. Barça B players Iñaki Peña, Morer, R. Araujo, Chumi, Collado, Riqui Puig, Saverio and Ansu Fati also took part and after the session Arturo Vidal was declared fit for the game in the Copa del Rey after having missed the league game against Levante with a thigh problem.
