The revenue from the sale of tickets will be destined for those affected by floods in the area last September.
Between September 12 and 16, the Murcia region suffered heavy rain and subsequent flooding that ended up causing damage to some 30,000 people insured, and damages valued at between 170 and 190 million euros, according to an estimate from the Consorcio de Compensación de Seguros.
The last precedent, in the 2013/14 cup
It will be the seventh match against FC Cartagena, the third of a friendly nature. A friendly was played at the stadium in Les Corts in 1930 and another in Cartagena in 1965. Most recently, both teams have played twice in the cup competitions; the Round of 16 in both the 1988/89 and 2013/14 seasons, both Barça wins. The teams also played at the Camp Nou on December 17, 2013 and Barça won 3-0.
