Barça earned a third victory in the Champions League after defeating Elverum Handball 33-24. The current Norwegian league champions, despite being the weakest opponent in the group, stuck to their guns throughout and made life difficult for the hosts.
The Palau Blaugrana was treated to an equal game until the 20th minute. At 15-12 up at half-time, Barça were always in charge but not far enough ahead to feel secure.
Experience is key
An exchange of goals just after the break continued the theme, but Kevin Möller's saves in the Barça goal thereafter allowed his team-mates to flourish. With a 7-2 partial, the hosts pressed ahead definitively, and their experience ensured that they ended the match comfortably ahead (33-24).
