After the 2-2 draw against SD Eibar in Ipurua in the final game of the 2018/19 league season, FC Barcelona end the season with 87 points in the table, some 11 head of their nearest rivals Atlético Madrid. The campaign saw a number of Barça B squad members make their debuts for the first such as Carles Pérez who appeared in the second half of Sunday's game as a replacement for Malcom.
The introduction of the B team winger brought the number of players from Garcia Pimienta's squad who have made their first team debuts to eight. Able Ruiz made his debut in the 2-0 win against Getafe at Camp Nou. Moussa Wague and Alex Collado made their first appearances for Ernesto Valverde's team just a few weeks previously. Wague appearing in the game at Huesca in La Liga and Collado against Celta Vigo in Balaídos.
Elsewhere, Chumi, Jorge Cuenca and Miranda appeared in the first leg of the Copa del Rey tie against Cultural Leonesa. Riqui Puig made his debut in the same tie but in the second leg. Eight from this season plus the four players from last season who made their first team debuts (Arnáiz, Cucurella, Oriol Busquets and David Costas) means that Valverde has now given debuts to 12 players from the B squad during his tenure as first team coach.
