In two days the FC Barcelona basketball team will make their Spanish Cup debut against Valencia Basket. Up until now Barça have won 23 Cups, the last one in 2013 in Vitoria. Let's take a look at some of the tournament's more interesting records, facts and figures.
-Juan Carlos Navarro has won 28 of his 37 Spanish Cup games for a 75.68 winning percentage.
-Epi is the all-time Barça points leader in the Spanish Cup with 454. Navarro is second with 434.
-Epi also holds the record for most two-point field goals made in one game with 16, which he did in 1984.
-Moving on to three-pointers, Epi holds the record of going 7 for 10 in one Spanish Cup game back in 1987. Navarro once made six in a Cup game in 2009.
-With 59 three-pointers, Navarro is the Barça player with the most made in the final phase of the tournament.
-Pau Gasol holds the record for free throws made in game with 12, which he did in 2001.
-Dueñas and Norris hold the Barça single-game Spanish Cup rebounding record with 17 each, which they did in 2003 and 1989, respectively.
-Norris' 119 career Spanish Cup rebounds are the most ever for a Barça player. Navarro is sixth with 61, while Ante Tomic is 13th with 45.
-Barça's single-game Spanish Cup assist record is held by Marcelinho Huertas, who had 10 in one game in 2013.
-Navarro holds the all-time Spanish Cup record for assists with 88.
-Tomic holds the Barça record for blocks in a final phase Spanish Cup game with 4, back in 2013. The all-time single-game blocks record-holder is Fran Vázquez with 16.
-Barça have won a total of 23 Spanish Cups; Navarro's 6 are the most for any player.
