Marc Bartra was naturally overjoyed with the 3-1 win at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday night. “It was a very good result because it’s never easy to win away in Europe” he said. But despite the convincing display, the defender doesn’t think the team should be resting on its laurels. “The return leg will be very difficult” he pointed out. “PSG are a very good team with a lot of good players. They showed that in the group stage and so we’re going to have to play intense football against them”.
On a more personal note, he explained that “I have been at Barça for ten years, and it’s a dream to be here. I’ve been here half my life and I hope I can stay for the rest of it … I work hard every day to be at Barça and I hope we’ll end this season with a lot of titles”.
Bartra, speaking at a sponsorship event for catering firm Rodilla, also commented that “one of the keys to success is working hard, but you also need rest and a good diet. We have lunch and supper at the Ciutat Esportiva and eat the kind of food that helps us to perform at our very best.”
