Borja López signs for FC Barcelona B

FC Barcelona have signed Borja López to the B team until 30 June 2018. The player from Asturias in the north of Spain has passed his medical exam and will be joining normal training with the rest of the squad on Monday.

López is 21 years old and started this season on loan from French club AS Monaco to Arouca in Portugal.

The central defender has also spent previous loan spells at Rayo Vallecano and Deportivo, having originally been a product of the famous Sporting Gijón academy, winning a regular place in the line-up when they played in the second division.

He has also won international caps from Spain at U18, U19 and U20 level.
