Leo Messi has no limits. The Argentinian is capable of breaking records year after year and, in addition, being key for FC Barcelona. On Saturday, he decided the game against Sevilla with three goals and an assist that allowed Barça to win at the Sánchez-Pizjuán (2-4). With this hat-trick, the Barça captain now has 25 goals in the League, and he leads the rankings for the Golden Shoe with 50 points.
Remember that the Argentinian is the player who has achieved the most Golden Shoe awards in history, with a total of five wins that include the last two editions (2009-10, 2011-12, 2012-13, 2016-17, 2017-18). Messi is on track to achieve what would be his sixth prize and the third consecutive, something that nobody has ever done. Here are the current standings:
PLAYER | TEAM | GOALS | POINTS |
Leo Messi | FC Barcelona | 25 | 50 |
Kylian Mbappé | PSG | 22 | 44 |
Cristiano Ronaldo | Juventus | 19 | 38 |
