The third matchday of the handball World Championship featured 10 FC Barcelona Intersport athletes play for their respective countries. Spain won their match by 40 goals over Australia; Noddesbo, with Denmark, defeated Chile by 19 goals; Sorhaindo’s France bested Brazil, and Rutenka’s Belarus won its first game of the championship, against South Korea.
Spain wins by 40
Spain thrashed Australia by 40 goals this evening and Barça Intersport’s Albert Rocas was Spain’s highest scorer with 9 goals. Ángel Montoro netted 6 and Aitor Ariño scored 5.
Rutenka gets his first win
Belarus managed to grab their first win of the tournament thanks to Siarhei Rutenka’s 11 goals. Belarus defeated South Korean by 20 to 26, which leave’s Rutenka’s team with a good chance to reach the knock-out stage.
Sorhaindo and Noddesbo, undefeated
France, with Sorhaindo, and Denmark, with Noddesbo, won their matches against Island (28-36) and Argentina (23-55), respectively. France and Denmark have yet to taste defeat in the championship.
