Barça 32-26 Magdeburg: No stopping the blaugranes

Carlos Ortega's add a sixth straight win in Europe against a perennially difficult opponent

There's no stopping them, not even a side that tend to pose problems like Magdeburg. Barça dominated the game and scoreline from start to finish to add another win that makes it six out of six in this year's Champions League on a wonderful night at the Palau Blaugrana.

Another day at the office for Nielsen

Nielsen and Cikusa stood out at the start of this Barça v Magdeburg game. Saves and goals to take the blaugranes ahead in the early stages. They were playing quickly and Aleix Gómez joined in to help them go 6-2 after 11 minutes, with the defence doing sterling work to keep out the visitors.

The German side are not that easy to shake off though, who came to within one goal (9-8, min 20), but Nielsen and Dika Mem cut their comeback short. Wanne, N'Guessan, Richardson and Janc scored, and at half time it was 16-11.

Good second half rhythm

Same approach in the second half accumulated the biggest lead of +7 so far (21-14, min 38), and none of Carlos Ortega's side let the pace drop. Makuc, Ariño and Frade scored, before a showstopping fly between Aleix Gómez and Aitor Ariño helped take the wind out of the visitors' sails.

FC Barcelona ultimately ran out winners and against a somewhat nemesis of a side, but the last two wins against Magdeburg must now consign the four defeats before to the past. No one can stop Barça in this Machineseeker EHF Champions League at the moment, now with six consecutive victories, while playing well to boot.
