The Barça futsal team went down to defeat at the Palau Blaugrana, losing 2-1 against Viña Albali Valdepeñas. Matheus was on target for the blaugranes, but goals from Pacheco and Saura handed the visitors the win.
There was bad news for Tino Pérez's team even before kick off with Pito ruled out for up to a month with a groin strain.
Valdepeñas strike first
Eric Martel went close for Barça, but it was Valdepeñas who opened the scoring. In the 7th minute Pachecho's shot went in off the post to give the visitors the lead. Visiting keeper Álex González came up with a couple of good saves to deny Barça and maintain Valdepeñas' lead until half time.
In the first minute of the second half, Touré set up Matheus for the Barça man to bring his side back on level terms. Barça could have taken the lead, with Sergio González enjoying a great chance, but it was the visitors who went ahead, Saura finishing well on 27 minutes.
Chances came and went for the blaugranes and Touré hit the post near the end. However, Valdepeñas retained their lead until the end and now Barça turn their thoughts to Tuesday's game away at Inter, kick off 8.30pm CET.
