Industrias Santa Coloma 5-2 Barça: Final disappointment

Barça were unable to end 2024 with a trophy as they went down 5-2 in the final of the Copa Catalunya against Industrias Santa Coloma. Despite taking the lead through Dyego, the blaugranes could only look on as Santa Coloma came back before half time and cemented their win in the second half. 

Barça take lead 

The start could not have been better - Dyego firing home after good work from Touré and Antonio after just three minutes. After missing a good chance to make it 2-0, the blaugranes conceded on 13 minutes and Joan Vázquez's goal just before half time handed Santa Coloma a 2-1 lead a the break. 

Second half disappointment 

Tino Pérez's side conceded right at the start of the second half, a tough psychological blow to take with Verdejo making 3-1 on 22 minutes. Adolfo's strike gave Barça hope at 3-2 but with the blaugranes going all out for the equaliser, two late goals for Santa Coloma cemented their win.
