Alexia, an all time blaugrana icon

It is impossible to talk about the modern era at FC Barcelona without mentioning the name of Alexia Putellas. The Catalan player has been an ever present in the successes of women's football in recent years, especially those of Barça. 

Alexia: 29 trophies with Barça

Since her arrival at the Club in the summer of 2012, Alexia has become a well known figure in the women's game. Her brilliant performances have brought success on a collective and individual level. The blaugrana captain has won no fewer than 29 trophies at Barça, including eight league titles and two Champions League titles. On Saturday Alexia has the chance to make it 30 with this season's Champions League final to come against Olympique Lyonnais in Bilbao. 

Top goalscorer of all time 

Not only has Alexia won more trophies than any other Barça Women player, she has also scored more goals than any other female player at the Club with a grand total of 189 so far. She is the all time top scorer in the Copa de la Reina with 20 goals and in the Champions League with 21, tied with her team mate Aitana Bonmati. 

Only player with multiple Ballon d'Or wins 

Individual prizes have followed collective success. The Barça number 11 was the first Catalan female player to win the Ballon d'Or, an award that she has now won twice, in 2021 and 2022. The only player ever to take the prize twice will be a blaugrana for another two seasons, another success for all concerned.
