Barça 1-1 Levante: First draw in the Liga F

Somewhat of a surprise result at the Estadi Johan Cruyff, as Barça and Levante drew 1-1. Jonatan Giráldez' side may have dropped their first points of the season in the Liga F, but they are still leading the table. Salma Paralluelo broke the deadlock in the first half, but Levante equalised from their one good chance in the second.

One of the league's best sides, Levante clearly wanted to make amends for the heavy Spanish Super Cup defeat and showed intensity from the off. 4. However, las blaugranes soon settled into their rhythm, Aitana Bonmatí sending a delicious cross that Patri Guijarro couldn't quite head in to score.

Salma Paralluelo also had something to say, Levante keeper Tarazona saving her first effort before she was passed the ball from a corner and curled in the shot into the left corner from the right (1-0, min. 21). The Levante defence were standing firm and Graham Hansen came close to getting her now customary goal, her ball from the right almost looping in as it went across goal. Half time score, 1-0.

Levante equalise to earn the draw

Barça pushed for a second but it wouldn't come due to the visitors' efforts in defence, Hansen almost finishing a great team move at the back post, before a missed Mariona attempt. However, Levante soon took their one great chance of the game, Érika González with a superb slide rule pass to Alba Redondo, who lifted the ball past Cata Coll to equalise (1-1, min 54).

Tarazona was being worked hard, saving an Ona Batlle shot from inside the area, before plucking a Graham cross out of the air. Barça pushed harder for the winner but again Tarazona made the difference, making consecutive saves from Claudia Pina and Vicky López in the final minutes to earn the draw.
