Asisat Oshoala to join Bay FC

An agreement has been reached between FC Barcelona and Bay FC from the National Women’s Soccer League in the United States of America for the transfer of Nigerian striker Asisat Oshoala, whose contract was set to end on 30 June 2024. The Club appreciates Asisat's commitment and professionalism over the five year period she wore the Barça jersey.
162 games and 117 goals
Oshoala's contribution to Barça Women's recent achievements is there for all to see. The Nigerian scored 117 goals across six seasons - 4 full seasons and two half seasons. This goal tally places Oshoala as fourth highest goalscorer for the women's professional team, only behind Alexia, Jenni Hermoso and Sónia Bermúdez.
Oshoala arrived in the winter transfer window in January 2019, and went on to score 8 goals in 11 games that half-season. In her first full season, 2019/20, she scored 30 goals in 22 games, followed by 22 goals in 37 games in the 2020/21 season, and 22 goals in 28 games in the 2021/22 season.
2022/23 was her final full season, when she scored 27 goals in 40 games, and she has scored 8 goals in 14 games so far this current 2023/24 season.

Oshoala's legacy in Barça is rounded off with no less than 14 trophy wins, with the African striker winning 2 Champions Leagues, 4 Liga F, 3 Copa de la Reinas, 4 Spanish Super Cups and 1 Catalan Cup as a blaugrana.
