Rosengård 0-6 FC Barcelona: Six in the cold
A fabulous display means Barça have won three out of three in the Champions League group stage. Swedish side Rosengård were on the receiving end of six goals, starting with an own goal and followed by Salma Paralleulo, Patri Guijarro, Aitana, Mariona and finally young Martina.
As usual the Catalans had control of the game, but the hosts were able to hold out for a quarter of an hour before conceding the first goal, and it wasn't until the final minutes of the first half that the goals started flooding in.
Lucky opener
Aitana's cross deflected in off Jessica Wik and into the latter's own net to get the scoring going, and following a series of chances to double up, Salma Paralluelo eventually found the net following a terrific series of quick passes between Mariona, Walsh and Ona Batlle.
One after the other
Patri Guijarro then hammered the next one in just before the break, but as Aitana warned in a half-time interview, Barça were anything but done. The fourth should probably have come from a penalty call that was surprisingly rejected, and it would eventually be Aitana herself who brilliantly first-touched a Lucy Bronze assist in the 6nd minute to make it 4-0.
Goal 200 in the UWCL
The fifth was no ordinary goal. It was Barça's 200th in the competition, and it came from a penalty that was given, and which Mariona had the honour of converting.
Dream debut for Martina Fernández
With victory assured, Jonatan Giráldez decided to give run-outs to reserve players Martina Fernández and Vicky López, and while the latter had a great chance kept out by home keeper Mukasa, the former got to celebrate her Champions League debut by getting on the scoresheet, turning home an injury time corner to take Barça's tally for the night up to a spectacular six.
