Atlético Madrid 1–6 Barça Women: Capital victory

Barça continued their unbeaten run in with a comprehensive 6-1 win away from home at Atlético Madrid thanks to goals from Crnogorčević, Mapi León, Lucy Bronze, Paralluelo (2) and Engen. The blaugranes' ended the home side's run of six games without defeat and at the same time extended their lead at the top of the table. 

Mapi magic 

The game could not have started in better fashion with Crnogorčević finding the net after just three minutes, the Swiss international finishing well from an excellent Patri Guijarro cross. Barça appeared in control but an uncharacteristic mistake at the back led to a penalty for Atlético and Santos levelled the scores from the spot on 25 minutes for Atlético. 

The home side grew in confidence after the equaliser but it was Barça who came up with a crucial blow before half time. With 10 minutes of the first half remaining, Mapi León curled home an excellent free kick to make it 2-1 at the break. 

Avalanche of goals 

The second half saw the blaugranes once again exert their dominance and Mapi León was again involved, sending in a corner for Lucy Bronze to make it 3-1 with a diving header on 50 minutes, the English defender's first goal in a Barça shirt. 

Mariona Caldentey made an appearance as a second half substitute after a month out due to injury and another substitute, Paralluelo, made it 4-1 on 72 minutes after good work from Mariona. 

Paralluelo added another with quarter of an hour to go on the rebound after Mariona's spot kick had been saved following a handball in the Atlético box. With 10 minutes left Engen rounded off the win with a sixth to allow Barça to remain top of the table ahead of their next fixture away at Real Sociedad on Saturday 3 December.
