    The FC Barcelona Medical Services have announced that Alexia Putellas will be undergoing surgery this Tuesday at Hospital de Barcelona on torn cruciate ligaments in her left knee. An announcement will be made following the operation.

    The women's team captain suffered the injury on July 5 while training with the Spanish national team ahead of the European Championship in England.
