FC Barcelona will be visiting Ipurua on Sunday as they take on Eibar for Week 19 of La Liga, a ground where Leo Messi has enjoyed some fine performances during his two previous visits.
The Argentine has made a flying start to the new year with four goals in five games, three of which have been from free-kicks which have seen him draw level with the great Ronald Koeman for goals from set plays (26) in a Barça shirt.
Therefore, Messi is entering Sunday’s game in superb form, and he has some great memories from his previous two trips to Eibar. He has netted four times at Ipurua: two penalties, one of which was a Panenka, a fine solo effort and a header.
If Barça are to leave with maximum points from the tricky ground, it is highly likely that Messi will have his say. Here is a video from his past trips to Ipurua.
