Bayern Munich or Inter Milan in the semi-finals
After the success in the quarter final against Borussia Dortmund, Barça are back in the semi-finals of the Champions League for the first time since 2019. Their opponents in the last four will come from the winners of the tie between Bayern Munich and Inter Milan with the Italians holding the advantage after the first leg.
Simone Inzaghi’s team picked up an excellent victory in the Alianz Arena in Munich. Lautaro Martínez gave the Serie A side lead in the first half before Thomas Müller equalised with just five minutes remaining for the Bavarians. However, Frattesi’s late strike gives the club from Milan the upper hand with a 2-1 lead going into Wednesday’s second leg in the San Siro stadium.
Barça and Bayern Munich have already met in this season’s competition, Hansi Flick enjoying a 4-1 victory over his former club back in October on match day 3 of the league phase.
The first leg of the semi-final will be played on 29/30 April at the Estadi Olímpic with the second leg to come away from home on 6/7 May.
