Unbeaten streak continues

The 4-0 defeat of Borussia Dortmund means Barça are still unbeaten in 2025, and Szczesny still has yet to lose a match

We're nearly halfway through April and FC Barcelona still haven't lost a game in 2025. The 4-0 defeat of Borussia Dortmund has extended several runs that are making club history.

23 games unbeaten to start a calendar year is now more than the 22 under Luis Enrique to start 2016. It's also now the sixth longest unbeaten run in club history, set under Ernesto Valverde in 2018/19, but which could be beaten if Barça avoid defeat against Leganés at the weekend, and would match the fifth best record under Frank Rijkaard in 2005/06.

Ninth highest scoring campaign

Barça have scored 145 goals in all competitions this season, the ninth highest tally in club history. But there are still at least another ten games to go! Depending on how things go in the Champions League, there could be 13 more matches.

Szczesny: 21 games unbeaten

Wojciech Szczesny is very much a part of this excellent streak. The Pole has now played 21 games for Barça and has yet to taste defeat! That's the same as Albert Celades and is just two short of Johan Cruyff, whose 23 is the third best starting run ever.
