Flick: 'We haven't qualified yet'

FC Barcelona put four goals past Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night, and Hansi Flick was naturally delighted in his post-match press conference, but he insists that "we haven't qualified yet ... You never know what might happen. Football is a crazy sport. In Dortmund, we'll have to play as well as we did today. They are a very good team. But we are confident and we know what we have to do.."

There were two things that he especially liked about today's performance. "We scored goals and we played well. Both are important. When you play as well as we did, you will score goals, and that's what happened this Wednesday."

Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski are forming a magnificent trident. "All three are very important" said the coach. "But it's not just their goals but also the way we defend. We played a great game all round. Seeing how the players come off the bench, and influence the game, and quickly catch onto the pace, that's so good."

And, in general, he wanted to highlight everyone’s enthusiasm: "I really appreciate the effort my players put in — they’re always striving for more. It’s fantastic ... Enjoying the game is part of it all, just like pressing the opponent, creating chances, defending well... my players enjoy playing football, training, being together, and that’s key to being able to play matches like today’s."
