The squad for Barça v Osasuna

Flick calls up 23 players to face Osasuna at the Estadi Olímpic including one passed fit, a new face, and one unexpected name

A return to the domestic league now the international break is over and first up is the Barça v Osasuna fixture that was postponed out of respect for Doctor Carles Miñarro passing away. The league judge decided to reschedule the game for 27 March (9.00pm CET) and despite both sides appealing for it to be rearranged again, the date and time remained set.

With 13 players away on international duty, Barça have been preparing for the match with those who remained at the Club, plus the international players as they gradually returned. The rescheduled fixture appeared to come too soon for some players, however, which was the case for both Ronald Araujo and Raphinha, with coach Hansi Flick previously stating that they wouldn't be in the squad after the long trip back from South America so close to the game.

Araujo named but Raphinha left out

That being said and despite the trip, Ronald Araujo is in the squad given he didn't play in Uruguay's last game, but there is confirmation that Raphinha will miss the game. It's also worth noting that Iñigo Martínez has been passed fit and included, and that young centre back Alexis Olmedo has been named in a first team squad for the first time.

As such, Hansi Flick has named the following squad of 23 players for the match: Cubarsí, Balde, R. Araujo, I. Martinez, Gavi, Ferran, Pedri, Lewandowski, Ansu Fati, Iñaki Peña, Pablo Torre, Fermín, Pau Víctor, Lamine Yamal, Olmo, F. De Jong, Kounde, Eric, Szczęsny, Kochen, H. Fort, Gerard Martín and Alexis Olmedo.
