This season no less than 19 different players have had the pleasure to score for FC Barcelona. Gerard Martín and Marc Casadó are the latest players to add themselves to that list with both players scoring their first ever goals for the first team in the 4-0 win over Real Sociedad on Sunday.
On the way to setting records
Barça are on the way to breaking another record this season. At the moment 19 players have found the net, not far off the total of 23 from the 2022/23 season and the 2021/22 campaign.
Of the 124 goals scored this season in all competitions, 82 have been scored by forwards, 26 by midfielders and 11 by defenders.
Lewandowski leading the way
Leading the way in terms of goals is, of course, Robert Lewandowski who has 34 this season in all competitions. Behind the Pole comes Raphinha on 24, with Ferran and Lamine on 11 and Dani Olmo on 7.
Pablo Torre has not featured much so far this season but he has scored 4 goals, just ahead of Eric, Iñigo Martinez and Kounde on 3 and Gavi, Pau Víctor, Araujo and De Jong who have two. Finally, on one goal we have Balde, Cubarsí, Gerard Martín and Marc Casadó.
Only ten players who have played this season have failed to score. The three goalkeepers, Ter Stegen, Szczęsny and Iñaki Peña, the injured Marc Bernal and also Héctor Fort, Sergi Domínguez, Toni Fernández, Cuenca, Ansu Fati and Andreas Christensen.
Amongst leaders in Europe
If we look at the top five leagues in Europe, only la Liga's Real Betis with 20 different goalscorers are ahead of Hansi Flick's team on 1 along with Manchester City, AS Roma, Tottenham Hotspur and Stuttgart.
