That strike was his 21st this season in the league, reinforcing his position as leader in the race to become 'Pitxixi', La Liga top scorer as he now finds himself four goals ahead of his nearest challenger, Real Madrid's Kylian Mbappé.

The goal against the txuri-urdin also means that Lewandowski is now officially enjoying his best ever season as a blaugrana with 34 goals in just 37 games, eclipsing the 33 goals he scored in all competitions in 2022/23 in 46 matches with still three months of competition remaining.
