FC Barcelona have set goalscoring records this season, thanks in large part to the efforts of Robert Lewandowski. The Polish striker is having a dream season and his goal in the 4-4 draw against Atlético in the Copa del Rey semi-final on Tuesday means he now has 33 goals in 36 matches so far in the campaign, equalling his best return since coming to the club.
Previous best
If we go back to Lewandowski's first season with Barça in 2022/23, we find that he scored 33 goals in 46 matches, ending the league campaign as 'pichichi' with 23 goals.
Same number of goals, but 10 fewer games
In 2024/25 Lewandowski has reached the same figure of 33 goals but in only 36 matches, 10 fewer than in 2022/23, an indication of the great form the striker is currently in.
Goals spread out over competitions
At the moment Lewandowski has 20 goals in La Liga, leading the race to become top scorer, 9 in the Champions League (second behind Dortmund's Serhou Guirassy who has played two more games), three in the Copa del Rey, and one in the Spanish Super Cup.
