Ferran matches last season's goal tally

FC Barcelona's number seven has 11 goals and is the team's third highest scorer

The "shark" surfaced against Las Palmas, as Ferran Torres scored the second to ensure FC Barcelona won 0-2 in Gran Canaria. A very important goal for both the team and the blaugrana number seven, as he achieved a personal milestone, his 11 goals this season matching his entire tally from last season.

Ferran Torres wasn't phased by starting the game on the bench at the Estadio de Gran Canaria nor only coming on in the 85th minute for Lamine Yamal. He promptly scored again to confirm the 0-2 win for the blaugranes. That's now 11 goals in 27 games. The same tally he achieved in 42 games last season. The Spaniard clearly has his shooting boots on and unsurprisingly he is the team's third highest goalscorer this season

Six goals from the bench

Currently tied with Lamine Yamal for goals, he has done well to be in third given he has only started nine games, having come off the bench in the other 18 encounters. The last three starts went so well for the forward as he opened the scoring in each of those games – away to Mallorca in LaLiga, at home to Valencia in LaLiga, and again against his former team in the Copa del Rey quarterfinals, going on to score a hat-trick. That means he has scored six as a substitute. Difference-maker.

The 11 goals look even more significant when you consider Ferran Torres has played 960 minutes this season, meaning the Spaniard finds the net every 87 minutes. Much to the delight of FC Barcelona fans, the "shark" is scoring and threatening to have his best goalscoring season in an FC Barcelona jersey.
