Iñigo Martinez returns from injury and is named among the 23 players

Back to LaLiga as FC Barcelona start February with the visit of Alavés to the Estadi Olímpic. An important match to keep that winning feeling going in the league. Coach Hansi Flick highlighted the importance of putting a winning run together during the pre-match press conference, and with that in mind he has named a list of 23players, with Iñigo Martínez back in the squad.

The Basque defender has been included after being passed fit on recovering from the injury he picked up in the Spanish Super Cup final on 12 January. The full squad is as follows: Cubarsí, Balde, R. Araujo, I. Martinez, ⁠Gavi, Ferran, Pedri, Lewandowski, Ansu Fati, Raphinha, Iñaki Peña, Pablo Torre, Fermín, M. Casadó, Pau Víctor, Lamine Yamal, F. De Jong, Kounde, Eric, Szczęsny, Kochen, H. Fort and Gerard Martín.

So, everything ready to go for the game against the Basque side on 2 February at Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, which will feature pre-match activities including the Rugby section celebrating their centenary, the ‘Relats Solidaris de l’Esport' initiative, and a festival to celebrate the Year of the Snake.
