Tests carried out on Tuesday morning have shown that the first team player Iñigo Martinez has a right hamstring injury. He will be out for around four weeks.
The FC Barcelona centre back picked up the injury in the win over Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup final. The defender was forced off after 28 minutes of the game in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia with Ronald Araujo coming on to replace him. The game was the Basque's 27th appearances this season for Barça, all of them in the starting XI, an indication of his importance for coach Hansi Flick.
The win against Carlo Ancelotti's team saw Martinez claim his first trophy as a blaugrana, and this season the centre half has also opened his goalscoring account for Barça with strikes in the Champions League against Young Boys at home and Crvena Zvezda away.
