Iñaki Peña: 'A run of games brings confidence'

The Barça goalkeeper says he is feeling 'super on a personal level' and explains that the team knows what it has to do to become 'unstoppable' again

Barça keeper Iñaki Peña faces his first trip to the Westfalenstadion in Dortmund on Wednesday, a stadium that is well known across the continent. "The dream is to play in games like this one. We have to be really focused," explained the blaugrana in the pre-game press conference on Tuesday in Germany before his team's sixth league game in this season's revamped Champions League.

The Barça number 13 admitted he feels "super on a personal level" and thanked his coach Hansi Flick for the confidence he has shown in him since Marc ter Stegen's serious knee injury against Villarreal earlier this season. "Having a run of games gives you more confidence, it all helps," said the keeper in the press room of Borussia Dortmund's imposing stadium.

Furthermore, he went on to explain that it helped a lot the fact that the team won the first few matches after he came into the side. "The first results that we had when I was playing in goal were good and that helps on a group level," said Peña.

On the team's current form, Iñaki Peña admitted that the team had detected the errors in the last few games and that they were aware of what they have to do to get back to the form of the beginning of the season. "We had a spectacular October and we know what we did - that gives us strength to know what we have to go back to doing in the future," concluded the Barça keeper.
