Hansi Flick says Barça 'need to learn from mistakes'

Just a day to go before the Champions League returns to the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys with FC Barcelona facing French club Brest on match day five of the initial league phase of the competition. The visitors are the surprise package of the season in Europe and are a point head of the blaugranes in the table, and Barça coach Hansi Flick is aware of the test facing his players on Tuesday. "Brest have good players and they are doing really well. They will be worthy opponents and we have to focus on winning. If will be important to control possession and come up with the final product in attack. Our aim at the moment is the three points from tomorrow's game. After that, we will see," said the German in his pre-game press conference on Monday. 

The clash against Brest will be a chance for the team to put the defeat against Real Sociedad and the draw with Celta behind them: "We have a young side, perhaps the youngest in the league and when you have so much pace you have to be careful about some defensive situations that you have to control. We have to learn from out mistakes because there is still a long way to go. I hope tomorrow we can turn things around," said Flick.

"The stats say the problem is not fitness related. There are a lot of things we can do better with the ball. When we have it, it is important to be calm. Sometimes we want to go forward and score and you can't always do that. When it doesn't work, we have to learn to go back and start again." 

For the blaugranes boss the most important thing is for the "team to be connected, in defence and in attack," but above all "that the players keep believing in their quality - they are very good and they have to keep enjoying it out on the field."
