Hansi Flick: 'No excuses'

A solitary goal by Sheraldo Becker means Barça have lost to Real Sociedad following an impressive run of seven straight wins. "It wasn't our day" conceded coach Hansi Flick after the game was over. "We have to accept the result. There are no excuses."

"We could have played better, like we did in the first few minutes, but we couldn't maintain the dynamic and we didn't create enough chances. We connected well, with possession, but then we started to struggle and with that they scored. In the last third, we weren't making the right decisions."

"We started well and we scored, but it was wrongly ruled out. I told the referee that it was a bad decision, that it wasn't Lewandowski's foot. But we have to accept it."

"We  tried, and in the end we gave the best of ourselves. But today we weren't as sharp as other days. Of course we missed Lamine. He is a quality player, clearly. It would be easy to make the excuse of his absence, but we won't. We didn't make the right decisions and that's all."
