Jules Kounde has played his 100th game for FC Barcelona, and fittingly enough against his former club Sevilla this Sunday evening at the Estadi Olímpic.
The French defender, now in his third season in blaugrana, has started 2024/25 in impressive form and is well established as one of Hansi Flick's most automatic starting choices. He's played every game, all but one as a starter.
Kounde is now eighth in the all-time ranking of FC Barcelona appearances for a French player, topped only by Éric Abidal (193), Ousmané Dembélé (185), Clément Lenglet (160), Samuel Umititi (133), Ludovic Giuly (124), Thierry Henry (121) and Antoine Griezmann (102).
With four goals and 11 assists to his name at Barça, he has plenty of time ahead to move higher and higher up that list.
He made his official debut on 28 July 2022 at home to Real Valladolid, playing the full 90 minutes and helping his team to keep a clean sheet.
