Another international week, and there are eight FC Barcelona players away playing for their countries this time. Raphinha has World Cup qualifiers, and the Europeans have UEFA Nations League or UEFA U21 Championships games to play. These are the eight:
- Spain: Cubarsí, Pedri & Lamine Yamal
Spain U21: Marc Casadó & Pablo Torre
France: Kounde
Poland: Lewandowski
Brazil: Raphinha
TUESDAY 15 OCTOBER
UEFA Nations League
Spain 3-0 Serbia
Barça players Pedri and Pau Cubarsí came off the bench in the second half of Spain's comfortable win over Serbia. The midfielder came on in the 64th minute and Cubarsí in the 82nd with goals from Laporte, Morata and Álex Baena leaving Luis de la Fuente's team top of their group ahead of their next fixture which comes away in Denmark on 15 November.
UEFA Nations League
Poland 3-3 Croatia
Robert Lewandowski came on in the second half as a substitute in his team's draw with Croatia in Warsaw. The result leaves Poland in third place in the group on 4 points with their next games coming on 15 November against Portugal.
UEFA U21 Championship qualification
Spain 6-0 Malta
The Spain U21 side had already qualified in first place, but they still rounded out their ten fixtures with a thumping win over bottom side Malta. Marc Casadó started and played 79 minutes, while Pablo Torre came on as a 70th minute substitute.
World Cup qualification
Brazil 4-0 Peru
Brazil move up to fourth in the Conmebol qualification table after a comfortable win over Peru in Brasilia with two of the goals scored by Raphinha, both from the penalty spot, and the others scored by Pereira and Luiz Henrique.
MONDAY 14 OCTOBER
UEFA Nations League
Belgium 1-2 France
Randal Kolo Muani scored a brace as France won in Brussels to keep up the pressure on group leaders Italy, who were comfortable winners over Israel tonight. Jules Kounde played the whole game in defence and will now be heading back to Barcelona to start preparing for Sevilla on Sunday.
SUNDAY 13 OCTOBER
None of the blaugranes away with their national sides for this international window are in action today, but we can look forward to the UEFA Nations League Group 2 Round 4 match on Monday (8.45pm CEST) as Belgium host France, with Les Bleus needing a win to keep the pressure on leaders Italy.
SATURDAY 12 OCTOBER
UEFA Nations League
Poland 1-3 Portugal
Barça striker Robert Lewandowski played all 90 minutes of his side's defeat at home in Warsaw against Portugal which leaves Poland in third place in their Nations League group.
UEFA Nations League
Spain 1-0 Denmark
Pedri and Lamine Yamal started for Luis de la Fuente's side in the win over Denmark in the Nations League. The blaugrana midfielder played 62 minutes and the Barça forward 90 minutes of the game that was decided by a goal from Real Sociedad's Martín Zubimendi in the second half.
FRIDAY 11 OCTOBER
Plenty more international football coming up today. Surprisingly, however, none of the games feature any FC Barcelona players. But on Saturday Spain will be hosting Denmark, and Robert Lewandowski's Poland take on Portugal in Warsaw.
THURSDAY 10 OCTOBER
UEFA Nations League
Israel 1-4 France
Jules Kounde played the full 90 minutes for France who ran out comfortable winners against Israel. The World Cup runners-up are in second place in A2, just a point behind leaders Italy who drew at home with Belgium.
UEFA U21 Championship qualification
Spain 4-3 Kazakhstan
Kazakhstan took the lead before the home side went 4-1 up by half-time, only for the visitors to threaten a comeback with two second half goals. Pablo Torre started and played 71 minutes for Spain while Marc Casadó remained on the bench.
World Cup qualification
Chile 1-2 Brazil
Raphinha played the full ninety minutes as Brazil came from behind to collect three points from their trip to Santiago. After Vargas had put the home side ahead in just the second minute, Igor Jesus equalised just before the break and Luiz Henrique nabbed a winner one minute from time.
