Hansi Flick says the team have been prepared to win

A winning mentality. That's how coach Hansi Flick came across at the prematch press conference for the matchday eight fixture between Osasuna and FC Barcelona. "We have prepared for a win" stated the blaugrana coach regarding a match that could equal the record for a start to a LaLiga season. 

Squad rotation

"We aren't focussing on the record we can achieve. We have prepared for a win at a tough ground, where Osasuna have won 10 points from a possible 12, and where the crowd really get behind them", on analysing the setting for the game, the El Sadar stadium. Another win may require using the entire squad, and he went on to say that "there will be rotation". However, the German is happy with everyone at his disposal, going on to say that "every player is ready to go. They put a lot of passion into their work. The coaching staff are happy with them. It's good being FC Barcelona coach". 

Delighted with Kounde's approach

The press conference also saw some discussion about individual players. "We are close to getting Frenkie de Jong back. I like watching him train and he can give us a lot", as he gave his thoughts on the blaugrana number 21. Flick also praised a key part of his line up, namely Kounde, saying that "I've never had a player like him. He likes to train after every game. He really looks after himself and has an usual attitude, but I like it".

"All our coaching staff are fantastic. We create an environment so that players can develop and feel at home", he stated. All in the run up to a key Osasuna v Barça match when the blaugranes can ensure their flawless start to this LaLiga 2024/25 season, with Flick confirming that "we are ready".
