Tests carried out on the first team player Lamine Yamal show that he has an injury to the iliopsoas muscle in his left leg. He is unavailable for selection and his recovery will dictate his return. The player will be joining the Spanish national team this week, where he will also undergo tests conducted by the RFEF medical services.
A historic goal
The FC Barcelona number 27 became the youngest player ever to score in La Liga on Sunday against Granada at the age of 16 years and 87 days, beating a record set by Málaga's Fabrice Olinga back in 2012.
Lamine Yamal's first goal is just one of the records the youngster has set this season, a campaign in which he has become the youngest Barça player ever in the Champions League. So far he has made 11 appearances for the Barça first team, six of them as a starter.
