The squad to face Villarreal

This Sunday at 7.30pm CEST, Xavi Hernández and his team will be facing Villarreal at the Estadio de la Cerámica, where they will need to overcome the key absences of the injured Pedri and Araujo as they chase the first away win of the league season. Raphinha is also missing through suspension.

The FC Barcelona coach named his travelling party this Saturday, and it is as follows: Ter Stegen, Gavi, Ferran, Lewandowski, Ansu Fati, Christensen, Ez Abde, Marcos A., Romeu, S. Roberto, F. De Jong, Gündoğan, Kounde, Eric, Astralaga, Lamine Yamal, Balde, M. Casadó, Kochen, Fermín and Cubarsí, the latter in his first ever call-up to the senior team.

Training before departure for Castellón

The team trained one last time at the Ciutat Esportiva this Saturday, once again under the scorching Mediterranean sun, before flying south to the Valencian Community where they will be staying the night before the game.

Astralaga, Fermín, Lamine Yamal, Marc Casadó and Pau Cubarsí of Barça Atlètic also took part in the workout.
